Creating an Account
To get started with creating your own hunt or hosting, you'll need to create an account for Seekr. To create one simply go to the login page at https://create.seekr.it and follow the form to get started, you'll be guided through a flow to obtain your email, and password or simply use google to log in. Then once you have created your account you'll be asked to create a username, this is so others on the platform can find hunts created by you. Think of it as your hunting alias.
Creating your hunt
Once you have created your account you'll be brought to the dashboard. The dashboard can be navigated to by using the navbar on the left and clicking the home icon.
On the dashboard you should see a couple of rows. One that says my hunts and one that says popular hunts. Under the my hunts you should see a card with a plus icon on it that says create. Click that to create your first hunt!

Great now we have officially created the first hunt for our account! Next we should name this hunt. You'll notice at the top that it says untitled hunt. Lets just click on that to edit the name of our hunt. Think of a theme that you want for this hunt. Maybe it's a jungle. Maybe it's your office, or maybe it's the park nearby. Create a name that fits what you want! This field will automatically save so don't worry about finding a save button.

Optional
If you want to go above and beyond you can even change the hunt picture to find it easier, as well as modify the description.
To modify the picture either just click on the image, or drag and drop a picture to overwrite the existing thumbnail.
To modify the description just click on the description and start typing away. The description can be used to explain your hunt, give details. Or include necessary requirements for others to know how to set up the hunt, like adding in needed materials or a location to start in!
Adding a task
Now that you have created your hunt and filled out some of the basics, lets get started on creating your first task! To start creating a task simply click on the plus button labeled "Add Task". A new Task input will pop up with some fields. Lets break down the fields
Objective field
The objective field is the prompt that your participants will see, so if you want to have your users find an apple, simply type
"apple" into the text box. If you want to have them figure out that they are looking for an apple you could say "something round red and delicious, that didn't fall too far from the tree"

If you want to style up the prompt and help your participants key in on specific idea, you can use the styling bar at the top of the objective field. With this styling bar you can bold key words, or underline specific phrases.
If your users still need more help. You can also add images into the objective field. Simply drag and drop an image into the field or use the styling bar at the top to select an image to add! Adding images is a great way to get creative or help hunters find what they are looking for!
Solution
The solution field is the magic sauce behind Seekr and helps enable you the host to sit back and enjoy the game. The solution field has 3 basic options: Text description, image match, or location check. You can use just one method or multiple or even all three. Simply click on the option you want to use to verify. If your not sure which one thats okay we'll explain them below

Text description
With the text description field you simply describe to Seekr what you want users to find. Using the example before if we want the users to find an apple, simply type "apple" into the text box that is provided when you have selected Text Description as a solution.

You can get creative with the text description as well. Maybe you want your users to do a group photo with an apple. Simply change the text to something like: "A group photo with someone holding an apple". Be aware that the more complicated your prompt is the more likely you'll need to test it out and maybe even fiddle with to get it just right.
Text descriptions are great for general use cases. You can use them to get pretty specified on an object but if you are looking for a specific answer the next section image match is great for you!
Image match
With image match you can simply take a picture or upload a picture of what you want a user to find. Image match is great for getting down to a nitty gritty solution! If you want your users to find a specific apple in a specific location, you can take a picture of the apple and add it as the image match solution. This works best when taking pictures of embedded objects or a focus, like street art. Where the focus of the task doesn't change position.

To get the most out of image match, be sure to take a good picture, here's some tips:
- make sure the focus fills a good amount of the picture.
- make sure to have a little bit of the environment around the focus in the picture.
- if you can squeeze a landmark or some identifying feature in the background of photo that helps to narrow things down.
- it's better to take a wider picture than a zoomed in picture
Getting the right image tends to not be too tricky, but it's best to ensure you have a picture that will help the AI properly keep your participants moving forward.
Location Check
With location checking you can use a participants geolocation to quickly identify if a participant is within range of a task. Simply select location check and use the map to navigate and add a point and radius to where the user should be. Geolocation is great to use to check in participants. But it's even better when used in conjunction with another method. Lets go over some tips on combined methods

Combined Methods
One of the great things about Seekr is you can combine multiple methods! this ensures that you are able to get a task verified how you want. Most of the combined methods are great for identifying objects or things within images, but if you want to get even more nitty gritty about a solution or task, combining two methods is the way to go.
Image and Text
If you want to find a very specific object you can use both image match and text description. For example if I have a picture of an apple, but that apple might be moved. I can combine these two methods to get the granularity I need. I can add in the image of the apple and then add "apple" as the text, the AI now knows that I am looking for the same apple that is in the image I provided.

When using these two methods you can think of text description as a way to describe something in the object, think on terms like "is the [insert the text I put in the box] the same in the image provided?" this is mostly how the ai thinks and when you provide a good prompt that AI is able to do it's job better.
Text and Geolocation
Text and geolocation is also a popular method, since images are usually already taken in a location geolocation and images aren't always combined, but if you want users to find a generic object within a specified range geolocation combined with text is a great option! Say you want to find an apple on one of the apple trees in a nearby park. Simply add "apple" as the text description and add in the park's location with location selector.

Now if a participant tries to add an apple from maybe a truck loading up apples outside the park it won't count.
Saving
Be sure to click save down in the bottom right corner if you don't it won't actually save the task, this also enables you to test a task. Be sure to save whenever you make an edit as well.

Publishing a hunt
One of the great things about Seekr is you can find hunts that others have made, and you can even share your own. It's fun to be able to create something that others can enjoy just as you did. If you ever create a hunt that you think others would like publishing is a great way to share the fun! Heres how. Simply go to the ellipsis or three dots at the top of your hunt, and click publish!

In this menu you can also find a way to set the location of your hunt. If your hunt takes place in a specific park or hike or location. Use this option to set the location of the hunt so others can search your hunt by what's near them!
Final Notes
Testing a task. If you are unsure whether or not your prompt will work, don't work Seekr has got you covered you can simply test the task yourself. Simply click on the ellipsis or three dots and choose "Test" from the dropdown menu. Here you can upload an image or if you use your phone you can snap a picture directly. Testing is an important practice to make sure your hunt works properly for your participants.

As you can see creating a hunt grants the host an unprecedented level of freedom. Creating a great tasks is the key to sitting back and relaxing when you host your hunt! Just keep in mind Seekr is built off of AI and while these methods are great! They are still being developed and improved upon!
